While working at Streetsense, my team was approached by Marriott with a request for multiple concept plans for the three different dining experiences that would be going into their new hotel build in Kelowna, British Columbia.
This hotel is part of the Marriott’s Luxury collection and features a ground floor space that encompasses an artisanal café, to-go retail featuring local products, a refined bar, and an elevated restaurant. The 17th floor includes a signature restaurant that tells the story of Canadian wine with lunch and dinner menus. Finally, floating on the Okanagan Lake harbor, a food boat concept will serve signature food items directly from the water.
I worked closely with the research team to understand our audience and create competitive audits of other dining experiences in the area. Using this information, we created the deck you see showcased below. We built mood boards detailing the look and feel of the restaurants as well as the quinine served. We also made sure to include extensive slides referencing our research and discoveries to take our audience on the journey and further explain our recommendations. It was important throughout the deck that we captured the Kelowna area and told its story.
